Design & Documentary for Creatives
Alongside my fine-art practice I make websites and create documentation: mostly for creatives and often in collaboration with other designers or photographer/film-makers. The boundaries that separate my fine-art photography and my documentary work — of artworks, exhibitions, studios — are increasingly blurred. I consider the collaborative nature of this type of work to be an important element of my own artistic practice.
For as long as I've been a fine-artist, I've developed my skills of documentation and reproduction — both printed and online — and this is something I can share with others through CreateCreate. I believe in the importance of an artist's online presence and visual identity. I also know how much time this involves: time that takes away from studio work. I'm offering myself as a documenter (of paintings, sculptures, drawings, processes, exhibitions, expeditions, studios) and as a web & print designer. If you enjoy my aesthetic, please get in touch and let's work together.
My most recent projects include a full website overhaul for painter Helen Glassford, branding for The Newport, and a promotional film for Spanish photographer Gonzaga Gómez-Cortázar. I've also been working with Tatha Gallery, and with artist Joseph Calleja recording his latest projects.
